i would have to go with either jasmine, daffodil, rose, or lilac. they are all such beautiful flowers(but then again, how many flower aren't beautiful?) and i think that they would make great and original names. each of them has a specific aroma and different texture. they are all unique just like everyone of us. they are also some of my favorite flowers and even the names seem to intoxicate even without the smell. hope this is what you wanted to know. which flower would you pick?
If you had the choice of being named after a flower which would you chose and why?
I'd go for Lily - they are beautiful pure and delicate.
Reply:Holly, has moment of beauty, but also a prickly side to the characther!
Reply:Hyacinth. Then I would have a wonderful aroma that dispersed all through the room!
Reply:Yellow Rose as it means friendship and it is a beautiful flower!!
Reply:Triffid. They could kill people.
Reply:dilligaf.
Reply:Blossom (Does that even count?) because it reminds me that spring in coming. I also like Apple-Blossom and Cherry-Blossom.
Another flower I'd like to be named after is Rose (after cool Rose Tyler in Dr Who and clever Rose Gupta in M.I.High.
Reply:Jasmine. The scent is intoxicating and sweeps me off my feet.
Reply:Lily because they are so beautiful and smell fantastic
Reply:I like Daisy's, so I guess Daisy, like Daisy Duke.
Reply:Copihue - a night blooming flower in Chile
Coquelicot - French word for wild poppy
Reply:Rosamund: Pure rose; rose of the world(Latin)
Rosalina:Rose (Latin)
Jacinta:Jacinth is derived from the name of a precious stone. This name is also related to the Greek flower name for hyacinth.
Reply:The Norma Jean because she had to change her name to become famous.
Reply:Tulip. They're not frilly or fussy.
Reply:self raising god, i'm funny.
Reply:Iris as this was my grandmas name.
If i ever had a little girl (which i sadly dont intend to!) I would name her Iris.
Reply:rose because it is elegant and pretty like the girl on titanic....
Reply:If any plant would qualify, the Laurel bush is the best! Laurel= Victory! (plus, that IS my name . . .)
If just a flower, Rose would be good, too. It's simple to say, signifies love, friendship, and all sorts of other good things. Plus, it has thorns, and I've got a couple of thorns in my side, too!
Reply:The hypophyllocarpodendron
Just so that I could annoy sales people when they asked me for my name
Reply:I would pick Sunflower, because everyone would call me Sunny and I like that nickname.
Reply:Triffid, then i'd be looking for my mother-in-law!
Reply:What a choice, I love lavender as its purple is my favourite colour and the scent is beautiful and reminds me of my gran who was a warm , loving woman who made you feel safe.
My other would be mimosa, a beautiful delicate plant that unfurls its leaves but any roughness with it will make it curl back up.
Or maybe Daffodil , wonderfully warm , heralding the start of a new season. It always makes me feel bright and happy.
I could go on forever , there is so many beautiful plants and flowers it would be so difficult to choose.
Reply:'Rapture', a daffodil I had best bloom division 6 with at harrogate show last year.
Reply:My auntie from Liverpool always called me "Our Kid" so it has to be ORCHID for me,
Reply:Daisy..Lily or Rose.....I knew a Petunia once and that is just horrible....
Reply:Violet, because I like her on the Incredibles, and it's an adorable name.
Reply:cherry blossom, crateva religiosa, or bee orchid
Reply:If I had the choice of being named after a flower, I would choose to be named Rose. It is more like a name than Daffodil or Lilac. It is soft, but strong. It is beautiful, but not sticky sweet. Hope this is the kind of answer you were looking for!
Reply:lily....because it is a pretty name and because it is my favorite flower.
