What are the names of some pink trumpet/bell shaped flowers in the carolinas?

I am looking for a specific flower that grows more into a bush then just a flower on the ground. They seemed to be very common around the tourist areas.

I thought for a minute you might have meant four o clocks, which can be light or dark pink, and grow in a huge, spreading bush with little trumpet flowers...but when you said something about tourist areas, you stumped me. I think you mean those huge, hanging flowers. If so, I am not certain what they are called! Sorry!

Reply:Sounds like Angel Trumpets. They are also yellow, double white, double purple and all of them are beautiful. Some of them come back every year from the plant, but most have to be planted every year. I also believe they are poisionous, thought I'm not 100 percent about this.
Reply:Are you thinking of brugmansias, also known as Angel's Trumpets? They grow on a bush or small tree. They are huge, maybe 6 inches long, and they are fragrant, especially at night. They come in other colors, too, including white and lavendar.

Reply:Take a look at an azalea bush....light pink, hot pink, white, lavendar. They are full of color and can range from a small bush to a huge one, ven a hedge if need be.
