I saw it yearsago but dont know what its called,it was shaped like a snowdrop or bluebell but about 5 times bigger and was checked-ish in pattern !if anyone knowswhat this flower isplease let me know its beautiful!
I'm looking for the name of a certain flower!?
Maybe it was Mexican Bluebell.
Reply:Galanthus is a type of snowdrop but taller than a blue bell.
I'll try to find a site for one and post it.
Edit
It's not a snowdrop, but a relation, called leucojum
The genus Leucojum now has only two species: L. aestivum and L. vernum but L. ... Leucojum vernum var. carpathicum (robust variant with yellow tepal spots) ...

Reply:was it a GM checked snowbell?
Reply:I agree - it sounds like a Fritillaria.
Reply:It's a snake's head fritillary Fritillaria meleagris. There are 2 color varieties of it a checkered purple and a pure white form.
Reply:Was it a Fritillaria? You'll find pictures at http://www.fritillaria.org.uk/imgdata.ht...
