Can anyone tell me the name of this flower?
The answer from Wildflower is correct, it is a Clematis. Here's a link with pictures;http://photobucket.com/images/clematis/?...

Reply:It's Mock Orange. Very beautiful!
Reply:jasmine
Reply:Looks like Cornus florida, the flowering dogwood.
Reply:Looks like a Clematis Vine to me. There are several types.... some bloom in spring, some bloom in autumn. Some have medium large purple blooms, others have small white flowers and some have blooms like the one in your pic. Do some research on Clematis flowering vines and see what you come up with.

Reply:If it is a flowering dogwood, Cornus Kousa it seems to have unusual growth habit, and it would be planted in an unusual spot for such a tree. Does it make pink red fruits that get kind of soft, taste like honey?
four petals rules out clematis.
More likely it is Mock Orange, Philadelphus inodorus
