I need to know, it's my girlfriends favorite flower but she doesn't know the name, and her birthday is coming up soonish. Any help is greatly appreciated!

That is a red Hibiscus. I don't think they last too long as a cut flower so might I suggest:
You can get really nice silk ones in Hawaii at the ABC stores that will last forever.
Or get her a small plant.
It's the same kind of flower they make the hibiscus tea from.
