Need to know the name of a flower.?

This flower grows very low and prolific. It has a waxy stem and leaves, and is in a variety of colors. Had a bed of it with Dusty Miller outside my door in Maryland. It bloomed every morning in the spring and summer. Little maintainance required. Alway thought it was called peat moss, but it's not known as that in Georgia.

portulaca?
Reply:peat moss is actually a family of wild growing mosses of the sphagnum kind, it is a highly prized natural plant food. The flower w/ a waxy stem is probably some sort of weed or could be a flower derived from the Lily family.

Need a picture to tell you for sure. But peat moss is not a flower
Reply:regine is correct, there is a very invasive weed called the same too but not and nice looking

Reply:Could also be wax begonias. They come in white, pink and red flowers and bloom all season. Could also be moss roses.
