it is open during day, closed at night
Whats the name of a flower that dies in 2 days?
There are lots of flowers that do this. Crocus flowers live for several days but open only in sunlight and close in the dark and on cloudy days. Daylilies, or hemerocallis, bloom for one day and are gone the next, to be replaced by the next flower in the cluster. Morning glories open in the morning and close by noon.Moonflowers bloom in the evening and close in the morning.
Reply:crocus? morning glory? my best guesses r those.
otherwise flowers that don't receive efficient amount of sun, water, etc.
Reply:could be several different types. Not knowing where you are from makes it a little hard to answer. Here I would guess a day Lilly

I have a lilly in my flower bed and want to know what it's name is?
4" flower 'pure white peddles w/wellow stamen 'plant is 4.5 foot tall.
I have a lilly in my flower bed and want to know what it's name is?
Lilly of the valley, tiger lillies are orange and brown.
Reply:her name is Tiger
Reply:Lilly of the valley are tiny white bell shaped flowers, with about nine or ten along the stem with big green leaves. Pretty much a ground cover.
If your lilly has thin leaves that surround the stem I'd guess it's an "Easter Lilly".
Reply:Could be a Stargazer Lily if it has a fragrance or anEaster Lily.

I think any other name such as Iris, Petunia and Mariogold would get a child picked on at school for years to come. Also naming kids after book characters (Harry Potter-Petunia, The Girl From Barefoot House- Marigold) and film characters (Iris) is unfair. Kids need to develop their own personalities, rather than being labeled by films or books.

Whats the name of this flower?
kinda looks like star shaped pedals that are long, i see them mostly in grocerie stores and there mostly purple/pink color when i see them
Whats the name of this flower?
Sounds like star gazer lillies. Do they really STINK? They stuff me up in a second.
Reply:Do you mean mums ??
Grouped together their petals can look like a star.
And, they are very popular in grocery stores; true the florist "might" know.
Does it have a tag; most do.
Large leaves not winter hardy; don't plant outdoors. Depending on your climate. Small leaves winter hardy %26amp; will continue to come back each year. They are thirsty little creatures though.
If they are also seen in yellow %26amp; orange in the fall--they're mums.
Cysthanmums--I can't spell well.

I think this is the one your talking about but if not you should beable to find it here
Reply:Maybe a type of lily, if it smells fantastic it is probably a "Stargazer Lily" . Could also be an orchid.
Reply:i'm thinking either "Star Gazer Lily" or "Astromaria"...star gazer's are large flowers and astromeria's are smaller flowers
Reply:That description is really a bit vague and could describe several types of flower. Ask the floral department of the store. They will know what they have ordered.
Reply:do a search for lilies and see if that is what you are talking about.
Reply:need a visual, off the top of my head, could be lantana...google some

What's the name of this flower? http://www.electric-photo.com/...
I need to know, it's my girlfriends favorite flower but she doesn't know the name, and her birthday is coming up soonish. Any help is greatly appreciated!
What's the name of this flower? http://www.electric-photo.com/...
That is a red Hibiscus. I don't think they last too long as a cut flower so might I suggest:
You can get really nice silk ones in Hawaii at the ABC stores that will last forever.
Or get her a small plant.
It's the same kind of flower they make the hibiscus tea from.
Reply:It's a red HIBISCUS or locally known in the Philippines, a GUMAMELA flower. There are many different beautiful colours of same variety found in tropical countries and it's a nice collection at the yard. Advance Happy Birthday to your girlfriend. Plant her garden this colorful flower as your living gift which is her favorite. You may buy one or more planted in flower pots.
Reply:Red Hibiscus.
They come in white and yellow too.

What is the best flower which grows in any season?
I need to know the name and description of the best flower which grows in any season.. and also can you tell me what is the website where i can search about flowers.. This is for my school project.. i hope guys you can help me.. tanx..
What is the best flower which grows in any season?
There are many, many websites about flowers. As far as one that grow all season, what zone are you in? I am in south LA (zone 8/9) and there are plants that grow year round but they don't produce flowers year round, such as an azalea.
Reply:Yeah like she said above it depend which planting region you're living.
live in planting region number 9 Central Florida and for us "hibiscus" flowers everyday and azaleas will flower only in the early spring.
If you get a chance go to your local nursery store you might find tons of informations for your planting area.
